Lake Rentals FAQ
You must be at least 25 years old with a full class 5 BC license.
Fill’ er up! All Slingshots are rented with a FULL tank of gas. Unless specified on a promotion or special offer, it must be returned with a FULL tank of gas. Now, if you like, you can leave the hassle to us and for an additional $40 we will handle refueling of the slingshot. Our manual slingshot require 91 Octane fuel.
Yes, our slingshot is a 5 speed manual transmission. You will need basic knowledge of operating a manual transmission.
No. It is not required in British Columbia to wear a helmet when operating a Slingshot. However, it is encouraged when traveling a long distance with speeds exceeding 80km/hr but again, not required. You must provide your own helmet.
No. You must remain on Vancouver Island only for day rentals. If you're renting it for more than a day then we can discuss further travel options.
Either! You can come pick up the Slingshot or we can drop it off for you! Please let us know so we can make arrangements!
No. British Columbia requires only a full class 5 drivers license.
We offer a 15 minute buffer time on all rentals. However, if you're late over the 15 min buffer time and there is no communication as to why, then there will be an additional $100 fee every hour the Slingshot is late.
Island weather is unpredictable. Please check local weather reports before booking your rental. As these vehicles are waterproof, reservations will not automatically be canceled for most weather conditions. If you choose not to keep your reservation, you may receive a credit towards a future rental date.
Yes, there are locking compartments behind each seat with space to fit a large bag or bag pack, and there is also a lockable glove compartment.
Rentals are available for pickup and drop off Monday-Sunday between 9am to 8pm.
Yes. You can rent the Slingshot over night and for multiple days. This is a special request and you must contact us to discuss the details of the multi-day rental.
Yes! It is encouraged to turn up the tunes listening to your favorite music while driving the Slingshot. It is fully equipped with a Bluetooth, weather Radio, USB Audio and FM/AM radio.
Yes! We will go through a quick operating tutorial to have you comfortable behind the wheel before you drive away on your open road adventure!
